It feels like home!

Good Morning all,

Had a lot going on this week, Dad and Mark being off, giving both fellas a chance to get stuff done around their homes.

I love all the work dad has been doing.. just take a look at this, and stand back and be amazed.. I am.

First after having taken off the old paneling and replacing it with new sheet rock, he frames in our new shelf

Second he put sheet rock on

Now he does some taping

Then he does that special bull nose that looks so great

OK got to sand some and put paint on ceiling while dry wall mud dries

Now sand, and just look how he loves to sand!! wow what a guy!!

Ok, now for the biggy.. I actually got him to go with.. of all things.. COLOR.. this took some tall talking.. but Alas, my home will look like a home, and not a shed or a rental.. wow!

So now we do the first color.. and a lot of saying.. I don't know about this... I don't know...Then I have to push the envelope.. you know.. never satisfied.. and I actually talk him into putting on another...COLOR.. with more.. Don't knows coming from the painter.. ha

actually I sort of liked it when it was only one coat.. amazing what a professional painter can do with a brush!

Painting is hard work, but the final results are soooo worth it.. but allas.. a man can be proud of his work, even when he is sleeping.. love this pic. Now I need to decide on the right picture to hang on our masterpiece-wall!! what fun!!

Dad painted the whole living room, hallway, and ceilings in both areas, I think he needs a big round of applause.. hip hip hurray for a man who can work with his hands and does it soooo well.. next pic.. is our finished product. I like this pic best.. its one of his favorites..
